Thomas Sponsler, Of Counsel, has over 30 years of experience representing Oregon local governments and has served as Gresham City Attorney and Multnomah County Attorney. Tom trains, consults, advises and coaches his clients. He works with city and county officials on a range of public law topics such as public meetings, public records, charters, elections, government ethics, legal authority, library and special district matters. He is the author of the 2004 Model City Charter, published by the League of Oregon Cities.

Tom and his wife Virginia live in NW Portland. Many weekends they are at the Oregon coast or visiting the Columbia Gorge. Most of Tom's hobbies involve travel or European cars and motorcycles. Their son, Brian, works as a higher education policy researcher in Washington DC.
