Sheila Benson, Office
Manager, is responsible for the general administration of
the firm and handles all business-related inquiries. She joined the
firm in June of 2007. Prior to joining Beery, Elsner & Hammond,
Sheila worked for Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt as a litigation
paralegal. Previously, she was Sales Director/General Manager for
Qwest Dex. Sheila graduated from Portland State University with a
B.A. (Arts & Letters) and Portland Community College with an
A.A. (Paralegal Studies). She is also Education Director for the
Association of Legal Administrators- Oregon Chapter. |

Cherrie Houston, Legal Assistant, is the primary client contact for the firm. She handles telephones and assists with customer service as well as providing legal support within the firm by finalizing correspondence, coordinating project lists and deadlines, maintaining a calendar system, overseeing all billing, and organizing library and client files. Cherrie graduated from Mt. Hood Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Office Management and a Certificate in Legal Administrative Assistant studies. Prior to joining Beery, Elsner & Hammond, Cherrie worked as a legal assistant intern for Thomas Melville, P.C. She joined the firm in July of 2007. Cherrie and her husband Ernie have 2 beautiful daughters, Ashley
and Makena, and a handsome son named Brett. In her spare time, Cherrie
enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, activities and volunteering at
her local church, and spending time with her family. |

Kristen Ketchel-Bain, Legal Assistant/Paralegal, joined
the firm in October 2010, and brings to Beery Elsner & Hammond
five years of experience as a paralegal in business law, general litigation,
and estate planning. She is a fierce Boston Red Sox and Oklahoma Sooners
fan, and spends her time taking in Portland's fantastic live music
scene, reading voraciously, and conquering pub quizzes with friends. |

Yen Huynh, Legal Assistant/Paralegal, joined Beery Elsner & Hammond in November 2009 and is the firm’s executive and litigation paralegal. She has 17 years of experience supporting attorneys in Oregon and Washington in general business litigation, probate/trust mismanagement litigation, real estate transactions, estate planning, domestic relations, social security disability, civil rights, personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and product liability. She has extensive knowledge of both state and federal court systems. Yen graduated from Clark College in Vancouver, Washington, with an A.A. in Business Administration. She loves to travel and is a regular at the Rose Garden cheering for the Portland Trail Blazers. |
